Beyond the Gates early weekly spoilers for june 22 to 26 excitement with Cat Richardson (Colby Muhammad) in a terrible dilemma because everyone is pressuring her to get tested and cough up part of her liver to save her troubled sister, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle).
We’ll touch on all that to come in the week starting June 22, where we may also see one marriage end and possibly two. And as we do on Early Edition Day, we’ll start with what’s coming up the rest of this week, and then we’ll get into the action coming up next week, which is when the July Sweeps begin.
Beyond the Gates: Cat’s Liver Donation Dilemma
So let’s get into it. On Thursday, June 18, we have Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley) appear to warn Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix) on an urgent matter. So her phone might be off. Obviously, Carlton will find out that Eva is at death’s door and that Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) is distraught and that Nicole’s daughter, Kat, refuses to be tested at all. She doesn’t even want to see or know if she’s a match for her dying sister, Eva.
I’m very interested to see if Carlton shows up at Nicole’s door. With Kial Rollins (Greg Vaughan) warming her sheets right now, remember he came over to comfort Nicole. And while she’s always told both Kial and Carlton that she’s not looking for anything serious, I have to say that what happened between her and Kial was very emotionally intimate.
So if Carlton shows up and sees Kyle rolling out of Nicole’s bed, I think that will definitely bother Carlton understandably. And of course, Nicole wants to go check Ted. But I think Kat is the one who really needs her mom right now. I know fans are deeply divided and they hate that Eva’s accident put Kat in this position.
Beyond the Gates: Others support Izaiah
We have that too Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) shows up to be there Isaiah Hawthorne (David Lami Friebe). Andre was already trying to get up from the couch and sneak off to the hospital when he heard about Eva. But then Andre found out that because of the medication he takes for his own injury, he is not a viable liver donor. But I can see that he had wanted to be tested because he is related to Eva and he is friends with her.
And in fact, everyone except Kat has been willing to be tested in the family, especially Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) is frustrated with her. They see her hatred of Eva as a sign that she is willing to let her sister die. But I did think Kat did well by clapping back at Eva who helped cover up Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann), who tried to kill Laura Peterson (Destiny Love) twice, and who deliberately tore their family apart with Eva’s help.
The elevator secret and family pressure at BTG
Although she feels bad about it in retrospect, she was right there in the middle of it. It’s messy. But if Andre can’t donate a part of his liver, at least he can be there for Izaiah, who loves Eva and is completely distraught. We also have Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) confronting Bill. If you remember, after they did their elevator sex thing, Dani swore Bill to secrecy. And so far it remains a secret. But it could be out by the end of this week or next week when the sweeps start.
Eva’s time is fast running out. Everyone except Kat has pretty much been tested who is related and who is viable. And Leslie is panicking. But at least Eva is on the public donor register. But at the end of the day, I think we all know it’s going to come down to Kat. And speaking of her, she runs Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla), who listens as Kat explains.
Chelsea is not a big fan of Kat’s hatred of Eve. And I tend to think that Chelsea will push Kat towards at least getting tested to find out, because that seems like a next step. It looks like she will be tested at the end of the week because of other spoilers that I am about to share with you.
Beyond the Gates: Family Coming Together and Marital Trouble
Friday 19 June at Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) and Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) find some common ground, which is surprising. And this can be sympathy for what Ted’s family is going through with Eva and the aftermath of the terrifying tornado. Or it could be about what’s going on with Dani and Bill because that bomb is about to explode.
We have that Andre and Bill lock horns by the end of this week. And if Andre hears from Bill about the elevator cheating with Dani, I think Andre will be really hurt, rather than if Danny told him himself. If she explained the strangeness of life and death as a single thing, I think it would be better.
Also, the Hawthornes meet for one of their own with Izaiah panicking over Eve’s ticking clock. I expect Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges), Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik) and even his mother, Darlene Hawthorne (Monique Mosee), to appear for Isaiah. Hopefully Leslie will keep a civil tongue if Darlene shows up at Garland Memorial.
Kat’s big news on BTG
Also, Kat’s life-changing news, and it could be that she’s a match, or it could be that Ted tells her that Eva will die in the next 24 hours without a transplant. There will be something urgent. Ted can ask Kat again to help his sister. Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) can afford Kat.
I’m sure Anita is the voice of reason asking Kat, “As much as you hate Eva and hate Leslie, could you live with yourself if Eva died when you might have been able to save her?” It’s not at all a fair situation for Kat to be in. But that’s what makes it oh so soapy as we know it.
Leslie gets good news, which is then torn away. So they can find out that there is a donor available for Eva, perhaps from the public registry. But then it turns out that it is not viable or there is a complication. We all know it’s going to come down to Kat.
Beyond the Gates: July Sweeps and Marriage Implosions
In the week of 22nd to 26th June, the July competition starts on Thursday 25th June. So I think the transplant drama will drag on until then. This clearly needs to be a redemption story for Leslie when she is frankly irredeemable. But something to break through her horrible, insidious nature. But I’m honestly not sure if Eva’s mother is capable of changing. She is evil to the bone. But right now, Leslie is falling apart and vulnerable. And when Leslie is faced with Eva’s inevitable death, Leslie breaks down.
In the meantime, with the clock running out, Kat is sure to be tested. No doubt she will be a match. But then there’s the step she’ll let them cut her open and take a part out of her life to save Eva. Regarding organ donation, one would think that donating part of an organ is better than a whole, like a liver versus a kidney. But in terms of surgical risk and recovery and potential complications, donating part of your liver is actually more dangerous than giving up an entire kidney. Weird, right?
Beyond the Gates: Kat & Ava Bond as Sisters
So Kat would literally put her own life on the line to save Eva. But in the end I’m sure she will. And this will be the way for Kat and Eva to bond as sisters because she literally owes Kat her life. I don’t expect an easy road. And I think Eva should do the heavy lifting. Leslie can also relax if Kat saves her precious Eva.
But there are other family dramas to come. I don’t think Heather Armstrong (Ashley Jones) really left town. And I think she’s setting up shop again nearby, just below Joey Armstrong’s (Jon Lindstrøm) nose. And Heather honestly seems even more ruthless than Joey and not the type to walk away quietly. Plus, they’re casting someone who’s a big name Bold and the beautiful. She’s been on a lot of other things. So with them bringing in Ashley Jones, I don’t think it will be a few episodes and she’s gone.
Beyond the Gates: Dani May Loses Others
We also have the impending implosion of Dani and Andre’s marriage, which could cause Bill and Haley’s marriage to fall apart. So Andre can go all over Dani over this Bill thing and run back to his bachelor pad. And the timing of that can be problematic because Ashley is single and grieving, and Andre can turn to Ashley for comfort.
The Duprees will rally around Kat for her heroic donation. And I actually hope she demands some concessions from Leslie before she agrees to donate. Like she has to stop the chow shit. Stop stalking Ted. Stop being horrible to Nicole. Basically, some liver is donated if Leslie agrees to stop being Leslie. We’ll see how it goes.
