Anne Diamond has provided the latest update on Eamonn Holmes’ health after the presenter was unable to attend this year’s TRIC Awards. speaking from the stage in At the Grosvenor House Hotel in London he informed those present of his absence.

He said, “There are some people who would love to come here but can’t. Eamonn Holmes is not very well at the moment, but he is doing well, he is recovering and we hope he will be back with us soon.”

GB News won the Best News Program award for the fourth consecutive year. Last year, Eamonn picked up the award for Best News from GB News Breakfast, although the moment of his victory was ignored by some. Negative reaction from the audience.

He also paid tribute to one of his colleagues, although the conclusion of his speech became uncomfortable when an audience member told Eamonn to ‘get off’.

Whether Eamonn got wind of the uproar or not, he ended his speech warmly by saying: “For the thousands of people who voted, it’s fantastic for us so we say thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who bothered to vote.”

His latest absence comes as the 66-year-old GB News presenter has struggled with health issues, which have left him dependent on a wheelchair. In April, Eamon suffered a stroke, although at the time he reassured fans that he was doing well.

In 2016, he underwent surgery on both hips to alleviate chronic pain in his hips, legs, and back. While recovering, he fell down the stairs at his home, breaking his shoulder.

He later suffered a painful viral infection, which he attributed to stress caused by a tax dispute with HMRC. Due to the infection, severe rashes appeared on his face and his eyesight became endangered.

In May 2022, severe spinal problems led to bladder and bowel complications, resulting in a nine-day hospital stay.

Then in November 2022, he broke his shoulder again in a fall at his Surrey home, requiring further operation. He is currently exploring a variety of treatments, including spinal injections and stem cell replacement therapy, as he continues his fight to regain his mobility.
