According to a recent poll, the majority of Americans tend to think their 80-year-old president is far from in perfect medical condition.
Tim Malloy Quinnipiac University polling analyst summarized the section on Donald Trump’s health by saying, “Is the president physically and mentally healthy? On both questions, half of voters have concerns, and a majority think the White House is keeping them in the dark.”
Notably, 59% of participants expressed doubts about the White House’s statements about the POTUS’ health, with only 34% stating that the establishment has been transparent about his mental and physical condition.
Meanwhile, half of voters noted that, given what they’ve seen, Donald Trump doesn’t appear to have the perfect physical health he so often claims. Nevertheless, 46% admitted that they do not suspect Trump of physical ailments.
Additionally, 51% of survey participants questioned the Republican leader’s mental health, with 46% agreeing that Trump is currently mentally healthy.
Americans in particular began raising concerns about Donald Trump’s health following the emergence of alleged reports of the president apparently sleeping through official events. The most recent case occurred during his 80th birthday, when he received the UFC Freedom 250 event. In several photos from the event, Trump appeared to have fallen asleep while sitting in the audience.
Similarly, people have also claimed that the businessman-turned-politician has applied makeup on his hands to hide bruises. While photos of his recent meeting with the NATO secretary apparently highlighting a purple scar on his left hand, while his performance at the G7 summit reportedly showed a crescent-shaped bruise.
Nevertheless, Donald Trump and the White House have routinely denied any speculation about his health.
