Donald Trump reportedly received a warning from his son, Baron Trumpafter Charlie Kirk‘s murder. The revelation was made in the new book Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump. It was co-authored by journalists Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan.

According to the book, Barron Trump was the first person to inform the president about the murder of Charlie Kirk (via RadarOnline).

The book stated that after Kirk was murdered on September 10, 2025, Barron went to warn his father. He reportedly told Donald Trump, “This is what happens when you go outside. This is what happened.” But according to the book, in response, the president told him, “Take it easy, honey, take it easy.” Donald has been the target of three assassination attempts so far, the White House previously said in a statement.

The most recent attack on the president, according to his administration, took place during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in April. In his statement after the incident, acting US Attorney General Todd Blanche (via Reuters), “It appears he was actually targeting people who work in the government, including probably the president.” It was recently revealed that Donald Trump will visit the Washington Hilton for the first time since the incident.

According to the Hilla Secret Service official commented on security measures at the hotel ahead of the president’s arrival. The person noted: “While the existing security plan at the White House Correspondents Dinner in April 2026 was effective in interdicting an identified threat, the agency is continually assessing our security posture and will make adjustments as necessary.”

The official added that they have an “advanced, multi-layered security framework” in place to counter threats before they materialize.
