Pokémon Diamond & Pearl officially returns for new 30th anniversary edition

Whatever your favorite entry from the series happens to be, there’s no doubt about it Pokémon Diamond & Pearl are very solid entries that deserve all the praise they get. That said, they generally seem to be referenced in the wider product much less than other games from the era, and it’s not entirely clear why that is.

However, that has already started to change Pokémon is celebrating its 30th birthday as a franchise this year, and a host of new releases on the way that celebrate everything that came before. The latest of those has now been confirmed, and Diamond & Pearl is at the center of it all.

Over to Toy People websiteBandai Candy, the candy toy division of Japan’s Bandai Co., Ltd., announced their latest line of products for Pokémon Scale World. If you haven’t come across them before, the company has been producing them since 2019, and they’re essentially a line of 1:20 scale Pokoemon and character figures.

Diamond & Pearl is at the center of it all this time, as the legendary ‘mons from those games enter the fray. To confirm the news, the company shared the following insight into what fans can expect:

“This time, the spotlight returns to the Sinnoh region, with two legendaries Pokémon on top of its mythology: ‘POKÉMON SCALE WORLD Sinnoh Region Dialga’ and ‘POKÉMON SCALE WORLD Sinnoh Region Palkia’! Faithfully recreating their massive presence from the games, these figures come in impressive sizes measuring 27cm and 23cm respectively, making for a truly impressive display. Each figure carefully sculpts their divine appearance and accurately reproduces the iconic colors and patterns that represent “time” and “space”. These are absolute must-have ultimate collectibles for any Sinnoh Region fan!”

They look pretty cool and very detailed to boot, and you’ll definitely want to get your hands on them if you’re already working on the collection as a whole. They’ll only go on sale in Japan for now, starting in October 2026, starting at 14,300 JPY (or about $90), though you’ll also have to pay import costs if you’re based elsewhere.
