Vanessa Trump shares emotional update on cancer fight


Vanessa Trump shares a candid update on her breast cancer journey as she continues treatment with the support of loved ones, including her boyfriend, Tiger Woods. The former model offered the health update on social media just one day after Woods reportedly returned to the US following a stint in rehab.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Vanessa revealed that she continues to recover after recently undergoing surgery as part of her treatment plan.

“Over the past four weeks I have been recovering from surgery and I am grateful to be healing and moving forward. Soon I will begin the second phase of my treatment,” Trump wrote. “Sending love, strength and hope to everyone fighting this battle.”

The 48-year-old did not share further details about her surgery or what her second phase of treatment will entail.

Vanessa first in public revealed his diagnosis last monthand told supporters she was working closely with doctors on a way forward. “I stay focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my children and those closest to me,” she previously shared.

After thanking supporters for their encouragement, Vanessa added: “I am kindly asking for privacy while I focus on my health and recovery.”

Ivanka Trump has previously shared support for her former sister-in-law

After Vanessa’s initial announcement, members of the Trump family quickly rallied around her publicly. Her former sister-in-law, Ivanka Trumpcommented on the post with a heartfelt message of support. “Praying for your continued strength and a speedy recovery. Love you mom,” Ivanka wrote.

Vanessa shares five children, Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe, with ex-husband Donald Trump Jr., whom she divorced in 2018. Last month, the former couple reunited to celebrate daughter Kai’s high school graduation with Donald Jr.’s wife, Bettina Anderson, and other family members, including Tiff Boulosy Trump.

While Vanessa continues her health battle, sources previously claimed Woods made it a priority to support her in the midst of her cancer diagnosis. According to an insider who spoke in late May, the golf legend reportedly believed he “needed to be with” Vanessa after learning of her diagnosis, prompting him to temporarily pause treatment and return to Florida.

“He and Vanessa are close and share their lives. He needed to be with her and he was. They do what they can for the other in light of the fact that they both have heavy schedules of responsibilities,” the source said at the time. “Life brings unexpected twists and turns, and so far they’ve both been there to help the other. They’re lucky to have found each other.”

Another Florida-based source previously told PEOPLE that the couple has remained a steady source of support for each other despite their own personal challenges. “Tiger and Vanessa have been supportive of each other in all endeavors and I don’t see that changing in the coming days,” the source said, referring to both Vanessa’s cancer diagnosis and Woods’ ongoing legal issues stemming from from his DUI case.

“No matter how well put together and organized she has been as a mother, ex-wife and girlfriend, the demands and stresses of life today are taking a toll,” the insider added, praising Vanessa’s resilience and noting that she has “the right attitude” to navigate the difficult period.

Vanessa’s update comes shortly after Woods reportedly checked out of a rehabilitation facility in Switzerland following his March arrest on DUI-related charges. According to Page sixthe golf icon returned to the US on Friday and was photographed after landing at a private airport in Jupiter, Florida.

Woods, who reportedly began dating Vanessa in late 2024, was notably absent from the family’s graduation dinner in Naples, but briefly attended Kai’s commencement ceremony.

A source has previously told this PEOPLE the athlete has navigated increasing stress amid both recovery and ongoing legal issues. “This has created a lot of stress,” the insider said, adding that Woods is “doing the best he can” amid the pressure to heal.

Woods was charged with DUI after a crash in March in Jupiter Island, Florida, and has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor DUI with property damage. He also pleaded not guilty to refusing to submit to a lawful test after refusing a urinalysis. Woods is due back in court on July 7.
