“Growing up as twins I always felt like I had a built-in best friend, and we wanted to do the same for our own kids,” Ellie explains. “It’s also special because since we are identical twins, even though the babies are technically cousins, genetically they will be half-siblings.”
Amy agrees that having grandchildren born so close together will create a unique bond.
Amy is still unsure about what baby Jordan will tell her. “Will it be Gigi, Coco, Mimi, Nona? I don’t know,” she says. “I guess whatever he calls me.”
One thing she knows? She plans to be a very accomplished grandmother. “I’m going to spoil them,” Amy says, laughing. “I can’t wait to share every moment with them. I’ll be so close to them.”
For now, the proud mom and newly-made grandmother are just basking in the joy of a growing family.
