On June 9, 32-year-old William Applegate arrested by local police when he was found outside the singer Sabrina Timmerman‘s property in Los Angeles. Police were called to the scene after reports that the man refused to leave the property despite being confronted by private security.
Carpenter reportedly said the man is a “complete stranger” and says she has “never met him or communicated with him in any way.”

Timmerman obtained a restraining order of the court, so that the stalker cannot approach or come near her. The order requires Applegate to stay at least 100 yards away from her home, vehicle and performance venues.
In an interesting turn of events, Applegate’s attorney filed formal opposition papers with the Los Angeles County Superior Court, officially attempting to overturn the temporary injunction and prevent it from being expanded into a permanent, multi-year injunction.
Applegate’s legal team argues that the current order is too restrictive and limits his rights. They dispute Carpenter’s claims, saying Applegate’s presence near Carpenter’s property was merely an attempt to deliver fan mail and did not constitute a threat consistent with the restraining order.
In fact, Applegate has claimed that the legal action against him was not Carpenter’s personal choice, but was “brought against Carpenter’s wishes by her security group and the Los Angeles Police Department in conjunction with her legal team as an artifact of the maligned instructions of a government military program.”
Carpenter’s legal team has retaliated with warnings that they will fiercely contest the stalker’s plea at the upcoming formal hearing later this month. Insiders claim that Carpenter has been put under increased security protocol following her global fame. This makes the restraining order an ironclad will to permanently block access for Applegate.
