Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers evicted after owing $84K in unpaid rent!
Denise Richards and ex-husband Aaron Phypers have been thrown out of their Calabasas, California home after failing to pay $84,000 in rent.
According to court documents obtained by Page sixa Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted the landlord’s eviction request on Friday and officially ordered the former couple out of the property. The filing requirements Richards54 and Phypers53, owes $84,000 in unpaid rent, in addition to attorneys’ fees and damages requested by the landlord.
The exes signed a lease for the home in June 2020 and paid a $24,000 security deposit at that time, according to the complaint. The postponement comes in the middle Denise Richards’ increasingly contentious divorce from Aaron Phypers after almost six years of marriage. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Alun previously claimed she moved out of the Calabasas property two years ago.
In these documents, Denise claimed she believed Aaron the family wanted to stay in the home only temporarily, but that arrangement reportedly became permanent. She further claimed that she informed Aaron that he would be responsible for the rent starting in January as his family continued to live there and allegedly refused to leave.
It also appears from the case that the landlord had tried to contact Aaron Phypers regarding the unpaid rent for six months without success. Because both Denise and Aaron remained noted on the lease, the landlord ultimately served both parties with an eviction notice.
Denise additionally alleged the property had been left in serious disrepair, claims Aaron and his family had “severely damaged” the home and that it had been left “in a state of disarray”. The housing dispute unfolded only a few weeks later Denise received a permanent restraining order against Aaron in November following allegations that he abused her throughout their marriage – allegations Aaron Phypers have refused.
Later that month, Aaron filed court documents requesting an emergency hearing in his spousal support case, claiming he faced imminent homelessness. In the suit, he alleged he owed $125,000 in past due rent and $10,090 in unpaid HOA fees.
“I am literally in danger of being made homeless with no vehicle and no cell phone unless the hearing can be moved to an earlier date and orders can be entered allowing me access to the substantial funds controlled by (Richards)”, Aaron Phypers alleged in the documents. He also detailed mounting debts to utilities, claiming he owed $3,543 for overdue water, $13,000 for gas reconnection, $12,000 in unpaid utility bills, $1,400 for waste management and $1,200 for special waste removal – bringing his total costs to staggering levels.
Phypers‘mother, Patriciahas since launched one GoFundMe is seeking $110,000, claiming her son faces homelessness and has been “destroyed by false accusations, Hollywood power and a system determined to silence him.”
In a longer message, she claimed that Aaron was cut off financially, left without housing or income and divorced Denise Richards’ adopted daughter, Eloisewhich she described as “the deepest wound” for their family. Patricia also claimed she used her pension to look after Richards‘ household and pets during the marriage and said utilities were shut down as the family ran out of options, pleaded with the public for help to “fight for the truth and for Eloise.”
As the legal and financial fallout continues, the court-ordered eviction adds another explosive chapter to the former couple’s unraveling split.
