Marjorie Taylor Greene called Donald Trump a traitor and alleged that he was trying to block the release of Epstein files to protect his friends. The 52-year-old former representative called it “absolutely ridiculous and inexcusable” that Trump officials would allegedly try to cover up details related to the late sex offender and disgraced financier.
Allegations of the release of Epstein files involving Donald Trump are resurfacing thanks to Majorie Taylor Greene
During an appearance with Kaitlan Collins on CNN, Greene said, “I had a very unpleasant phone call with the president before the release of the Epstein files, where he told me that his friends would be hurt if the files were released. And I’ll never forget that.”
“I’ll also never forget the text he sent me when I told him my son’s life was in danger because he called me a traitor for fighting to release the Epstein files where he told me I deserved it,” she further said, as reported by LGBTQ nation.
She said they were “elite pedophiles and rapists who are never held accountable for anything.” Adding, if the officials were paralyzed and scared and didn’t know what to do about releasing the Epstein files, “they don’t deserve the trust of the American people. In fact, they should be considered traitors… They are the traitors to the American people, and they should be ashamed of themselves.”
Collins asked Greene, a former MAGA supporter, if her remarks were directed at Trump and noted reports that he opposed releasing the files. Greene responded, “I’m saying exactly that.”
Donald Trump has not been charged or officially charged by investigators with any wrongdoing related to Jeffrey Epstein or his crimes. However, the president was friends with Jeffrey Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s, reports BBC.
