Timothée Chalamet celebrated as a true diehard Knicks fan after New York pulled off one of the most shocking wins in NBA Finals history. Following the Knicks’ dramatic 107-106 comeback win over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 on Wednesday night, the Oscar-nominated actor was spotted jumping into the chaos of Madison Square Garden, grabbing a reporter’s microphone, shouting along with fans and ultimately taking off his shirt during the celebration. The Knicks’ win gave New York a commanding 3-1 series lead after overcoming a staggering 29-point deficit.
Footage shared on social media showed Chalamet fully embracing the madness at Madison Square Garden as fans erupted after the dramatic finish. At one point, the Dune actor grabbed a reporter’s microphone and shouted excitedly along with the crowd. “Let’s go!” Chalamet shouted into the microphone before laughing and admitting, “I don’t even know which camera is going.”
The actor also gave a shoutout to Knicks player OG Anunoby, who secured the winning basket with just one second left on the clock.
Ben Stiller eventually joined Chalamet in the celebration, with the pair jumping up and down among excited Knicks fans. In the meantime, Kylie Jenner documented much of the chaos up close, filming her friend’s overreaction with a smile on her face.
Chalamet went shirtless during the post-match chaos
The party didn’t stop there. In another viral video circulating online, Chalamet takes things to another level by going shirtless while celebrating with a crowd of Knicks fans.
The actor took off both his oversized Chrome Hearts denim jacket and white T-shirt as the excitement built. At one point, his jeans even started to slide so low that his black underwear became visible as he ran through the crowd.
Jenner could once again be seen laughing nearby and recording the moment on her phone.
Madison Square Garden turned into a celebrity hotspot
Game 4 was full of familiar faces watching the historic comeback happen. Among those present were: Taylor Swift, Tracy Morgan, Mariska Hargitay, Jimmy Fallon, Chris Rock, Scooter Braun, Sydney SweeneyAnd Spike Lee.
Jenner and Swift were even spotted sharing a warm hug in the courtyard after the final buzzer, despite Swift’s highly publicized feud with Jenner’s sister. Kim Kardashian.
The tension between Swift and Kardashian goes back almost a decade and goes back to its fallout Kanye West‘s song “Famous,” with controversial lyrics about the Grammy winner. Kardashian later released edited footage of phone calls between Swift and West, sparking a yearslong public feud that played out regularly online and in the news.
Timothée Chalamet has been a Knicks super fan for years
Chalamet’s passionate response probably came as no surprise to longtime fans. The actor was central to supporting the Knicks during their playoff run and even skipped the 2026 Met Gala with Jenner last month to watch New York play the Philadelphia 76ers. The pair has also turned several playoff games into date nights, including a sweet moment on the court during the Eastern Conference semifinals in May.
Chalamet was just as emotional during Game 3 earlier this week, when cameras captured him yelling in frustration as the Knicks fell 115-111 to the Spurs.
Wednesday night, however, was a completely different story. The New York Knicks made history in the NBA Finals, storming back from a 29-point deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs 107-106 in Game 4. Knicks coach Mike Brown praises Jose Alvarado after historic comeback
As Madison Square Garden was full of stars and fans celebrated the historic win, Knicks head coach Mike Brown made it clear that one player deserved special recognition after the dramatic comeback.
During his post-game press conference on Thursday morning, Brown praised guard Jose Alvarado for helping spark New York’s rally from a staggering 29-point deficit. “Jose was incredible tonight,” Brown said, as actor and longtime Knicks superfan Ben Stiller reportedly cheered from across the room.
“He changed the game. His speed, his ability to test the paint,” Brown continued. “Again, you give San Antonio a lot of credit. They try to throw a lot of different things at us defensively … and if you don’t shut down Jose, no matter how hard he works on his shot, he’s going to make you pay for it.”
Brown also highlighted Alvarado’s ability to create offense under pressure. “If you get too close to him, he’s fast enough to pass you,” he said. “And he played some great basketball games offensively tonight.”
Alvarado’s energy off the bench proved crucial as the Knicks clawed their way back into the game, ultimately securing a thrilling 107-106 victory and taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.
