Janet Kaperna revealed whether she felt justified about her claims against Danny Boeko on Daryn Karperpodcast from last week.
Which she also responded to Kristen Dout‘S loyalty to Danny, 42, and Nia Booko36, shared her thoughts on a possible alliance between The Valley cast, and weighed in on a possible reconciliation between Danny and her husband, Jason Caperna43, Janet shared who talked the most on social media, named the person she felt the least need to apologize to, and more.
“So many people in the last two years said it almost drove me crazy because I saw things and saw or heard about things (from Danny) that made me want to take a step back and say, ‘I don’t know if I feel for this person.’ And then so many people came (before) me and said, ‘You’re wrong. You’re crazy,’ or this and that. So when other people saw it, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m not all crazy and crazy,'” Janet recalled on the June 16 episode of After editing with Daryn Carpvia Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram.
That said, Janet admitted that she “handled that situation poorly.”
“There’s definitely a lot of aspects where I thought, ‘Should have done this differently, should have said this differently, should have handled this situation differently.’ So justified, I think, is the wrong word,” she continued. “I don’t think I was 100 percent right. And I stand by the excuses I made. So I don’t want to take back the responsibility that I worked very hard for. (But) I’m happy that people are seeing things for themselves and with their own eyes.”
Speaking further to Kristen, Janet said she wished her co-star was just as loyal Jasmine Goode38, as she was with the Bookos “because they are very close.”
“I don’t want to call it a spell, but there’s something where she just can’t admit to any wrongdoing by Nia or Danny, and it confuses me,” Janet pointed out. “I would like Kristen to say, ‘I love you guys, but you could do this differently,'” she suggested. “Constructive criticism of friendship, I think, is how you grow and become a better person and a better friend.”
Although Janet didn’t necessarily think there was an alliance between her castmates at the start of season three, a conversation between Danny, Tom Schwartz43, and Jesse Lally46, convinced her that this was possible.
“They (were) apparently like, ‘Let’s get after it (Brittany Cartwright).’ And that surprised me,” she revealed. “I thought, ‘Maybe there’s something going on, like on that side of the friend group, where they’re, you know, having more conversations than I originally thought.’ Because on my end we were accused of, ‘Oh, you guys sat down and put a target on Danny’s back, and you were scheming and scheming.’
“I thought that was so stupid,” she continued. “And then I see some of these conversations happening in real time. Like, ‘Huh, maybe they’re accusing us of doing that.'”
Looking to the future, Janet said she hoped Jason and Danny would return to a better place.
“Jason and Danny had their own friendship, you know, separate from Nia and I. I hope that if they both feel like this is the right thing moving forward, I will fully support that,” she confirmed.
Also during the podcast interview, Janet said Danny did the most talking on social media and was the cast member she felt should at least apologize.
The Valley season three airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
