The biggest breakout star of the 2026 World Cup may be Erling Haaland’s Hermès Birkin bag collection.
The Norwegian football star has been jet setting around the world during the international series, with a large number of rare Birkins along the way.
Haaland has been photographed by paparazzi and shares photos on Instagram. He doesn’t have a regular style; he has some of the most exclusive oversized styles on the market.
The biggest ticket item so far is a black multipocket HAC 50, which previously sold for $69,500.
Closely followed by one Evercalf Toile Cargo HAC 40 ($50,000) and Endless road 50 ($45,500). Notably, he brought the latter, a limited-edition style depicting mountains next to a highway, when he landed in the US ahead of the World Cup kick-off earlier this month.
All told, his publicly shared Birkin collection includes seven styles, totaling more than $317,000.
Fans were quick to notice this.
One Instagram account sketched them all and asked, “Have you seen Erling Haaland’s custom Birkins? Baby, buckle up.”
The footballer isn’t the only celebrity in love with the iconic style; Kylie Jenner the closet is quite fullrecently with her $63,000 crocodile Birkin 35 in “Knicks blue” to the NBA playoffs.
Last spring, Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir told their story purchasing matching white bags in Tokyo during the 2020 Olympic Games.
And athletes love it Stefon Diggs And David Beckham have brought the expensive items into a larger part of the men’s fashion world than before.
If Norway lifts the trophy, we imagine Haaland will celebrate with another big-budget signing.
