King Charles will ‘set aside time’ for the Sussexes, but Camilla won’t

The only thing that could hinder sabotage is if King Charles and his courtiers became aware that the Sussexes were invited And that mischief will not be tolerated. King Charles wants to reconcile with Prince Harry and will make time for him, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet if he makes a rare visit to Britain next month, it was claimed today. But not everyone in Harry’s family will be keen to see him look like King Charles, especially his wife and eldest son. Phil Dampier said: ‘The King wants to be reunited with his son and to see his grandchildren. I think he would like to avoid public meetings on this visit because it would turn into a circus, but he would meet them privately. But whether Queen Camilla is eager to meet or not is a different matter. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had some family commitments to go to and was staying away from them. ‘She will feel she was treated badly in Harry’s book, Spare.’

He added: ‘However, there is now no way that Harry can meet William and Catherine. He (Harry) has been making it clear in recent months that he wants reconciliation with his family, but only he knows how real it is. ‘Harry’s aim is to take her with him to the Invictus Games next year as his guest of honour.’

Phil Dampier also believes the fact that all four Sussexes are coming to the UK suggests Harry has been ‘assured’ he will get taxpayer-funded armed bodyguards.

“Nobody knows what security arrangements have been made for Harry and Meghan’s visit next month, but the fact that she is coming with her children suggests that they have been given some assurances,” he said. ‘It may be possible that in the future protections may be provided on a case-by-case basis. “I don’t think taxpayers will want to finance their security full time, so it’s a compromise.”

Royal commentator Richard Palmer says the palace is concerned about Meghan and Harry’s intentions to seek re-contact with the royal family. Charles also managed to meet Harry alone last September, which meant Camilla wasn’t in the room and she wasn’t able to feed off this particular tabloid beast. I hope Charles does the same this time and orders Cam to go to Ray’s Mill or whatever. The next four weeks will be filled with William and Kate bickering back and forth and yelling about how they will never see Harry, Meghan, or the kids. Again, no one asked to see W&K. I think it’s pathetic that William has never met his niece, and he’s probably only met his nephew once or twice when Archie was a baby. But it is what it is – William made his choice, and Camilla got what she wanted. She successfully managed to create a rift between Diana’s sons.
