Jonathan Scott is about to take on a very different kind of fixer upper.
The Ownership brothers The star is reportedly making the transition to daytime television, becoming the latest famous face to try his hand at a genre looking for its next big hit.
And as the project progresses, he could soon trade renovation reveals for celebrity interviews.
Jonathan’s next project
According to The Hollywood ReporterCBS Media Ventures is developing a pilot for a daytime talk show starring Scott.

The show is expected to focus on helping audiences improve various aspects of their lives, combining lifestyle tips, expert advice and celebrity interviews.

According to the show’s description, Better! aims to “inspire audiences with fresh ideas to live better, while having fun doing it.”
The pilot will be shot later this month and could be eligible for syndication starting in the fall of 2027.
A new face for the day?
Scott’s move comes at an interesting time for daytime television.
The genre is looking for fresh personalities and new formats, especially after recent announcements The Kelly Clarkson Show And Sherri Shepherd‘s daytime talk show would end both.
That leaves a significant opening for new talent to enter.
CBS Media Ventures already has a strong position in daytime through programs, among other things The Drew Barrymore Show, Entertainment tonight, Danger! And Wheel of Fortune.
Now the company seems to be betting that Scott’s popularity can translate beyond just home renovations.
More than HGTV
While many fans know Scott from HGTV’s Ownership brothers franchise next to twin brother Drew Scotthis career extends far beyond renovating houses.

In addition to hosting and producing multiple television projects, Scott has become an advocate for clean energy and healthy homes, testifying before lawmakers on climate issues and helping launch several home and lifestyle brands.
During his career he has also renovated more than 1,000 homes.
If this latest project gets picked upHowever, Scott may soon add another title to the list: Daytime talk show host.
