In about a month, a dozen games will leave the game PlayStation Plus Game catalog. The rotating selection of titles, which can be downloaded as part of the Extra and Premium tiers, sees new arrivals and departures each month, separate from the three or four monthly games also available to Essential subscribers. The June supplements brought two massive, must-play RPGsand while we don’t yet know what’s in store for July, we do know which games will be leaving the service next month.
12 games will no longer be playable through the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog, according to the PlayStation Store’s Last Chance to Play section, which can be viewed on a console. For a comprehensive overview of the upcoming departures, take a look at this concise table from Reddit user PSPlus updates. Especially useful for Platinum Trophy hunters, it provides an estimated time to earn each trophy and has other insightful data such as each game’s overall review score on Metacritic.
The full list of games leaving the PlayStation Plus game catalog on July 21st are:
- Bomber crew
- Clash: Artifacts of Chaos
- Cursed for Golf
- Get Even
- One Hundred Days: Winemaking Simulator
- Infinite mini golf
- Onee Chanbara Origin
- Risk of rain 2
- Röki
- Source of madness
- Space Crew: Legendary Edition
- Tropical 6
There aren’t any big blockbusters in there, but there are plenty worth checking out before they’re removed from the game catalog. Risk of rain 2is, for example, a popular recommendation. The roguelike third-person shooter has a wealth of contentand is great if you’re looking for a new game to play with friends as it supports four-player online co-op.
Another standout is Tropical 6a city building and management sim that puts you in control of a banana republic. The long-running series has a consistently engaging political simulation sandbox – with heaps of satire – and testing Tropical 6 before it leaves PlayStation Plus in July, it could be the perfect opportunity to dip your toes in sooner Tropcio 7 will be released later this year.
Like any batch of PlayStation Plus games, though, there’s plenty of variety here, and most of the dozen can be thoroughly played in a month’s time. If you’re a fan of golf video games, oddly enough there are two separate ones leaving PS Plus in July – Cursed for Golf and Infinite mini golf. The former is a side-scrolling golf adventure game, while the latter takes putt-putt to a sandbox extremity with community-made courses.
It won’t be long now until the July PlayStation Plus additions are announced, first the monthly Essential games, then those coming to the Extra and Premium Game Catalog. For now, there is about a month until the 12 games above leave PlayStation Plus – now is your last chance to try them as part of your subscription.
