“Gaslighting Myself”: The Traitors Season 4 Winner Rob Rausch Reveals Secret Strategy

The traitors Season 4 winner Rob Rausch had one of the most impressive wins in the history of the murder mystery competition series, and now he’s revealing his secret strategy. Rob, a Love Island USA alum and snake wrangler, was the sole winner of the $220,800 prize. An original traitor, Rob was able to dupe his fellow contestants until the end of the game, including one of his closest allies, Maura Higgins, a stalwart who came in second.

Rob was the first traitor to win The traitors since Season 1’s Cirie Fields. Faithfuls won seasons 2 and 3, with CT Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatella sharing the prize pool in season 2, and Dolores Catania, Dylan Efron, Ivar Mountbatten and Gabby Windey sharing the money in season 3.

All the way through The traitors season 4, Rob’s intelligence and calm demeanor helped him keep the focus off himself as a traitor. He was able to trick his fellow contestants into thinking he was a stalwart, but he surprisingly also convinced himself of the same, which was his strategy for winning the game and his advice to future contestants.

Under The traitors season 4 Rob convinced himself to believe that he was a loyalist and he would not allow himself to think like a traitor. He shared, “I was pretty much consistently gaslighting myself that I was a faithful one every single day, and it worked pretty well. During the day, I wouldn’t even let myself have traitorous thoughts.”

Rob used this strategy to help himself appear faithful to his fellow contestants. He explained, “And when people would talk to me about their theories, I’d think them through like I knew nothing about being a traitor and didn’t know who the traitors were. I’d just think it through logically like I was faithful and react that way because it was authentic. And I feel like it reads that way to everyone in the castle. So yeah, yeah, I’d say you have some faith in it.”

Rob wins Traitors season 4 strategy is very exciting. The entire game is a study in psychological warfare, and Rob even fought a battle with himself. It must have been extremely challenging for him to get into the mindset of a loyalist knowing he was a traitor, but the strategy worked perfectly for him considering he won the game. Rob’s advice to future contestants may sound strange at first, but in a game like The traitorswhere hiding one’s identity can give the contestants the win, lying to oneself might just be the ultimate strategy.
