The interview with Eda Ece

What are we talking about New generation family?
«The protagonist moves to her mother-in-law’s house for a week after the pipes in her house break. The mother-in-law represents tradition, while the daughter-in-law represents modernity, even in the way she wants to raise her daughter. We therefore see the clash, told in a funny way, due to the differences in family and education.”

It’s a comedy designed for social media. What was the experience like for you?
«I only work in traditional films and series, it was my first experience with a product for social media. I accepted because I really liked the script and because it was a new, different format. It was very exciting. In this way you can reach people thanks to the power of social media. While I was acting, however, I didn’t perceive major differences compared to what was traditionally established.”

Let’s talk Tue Forbidden Fruit, who has it also made famous in Italy.
«It is a very special project for me. Knowledge is also appreciated in Italy and I am happy. I see people’s affection, their reactions on the street. It’s something that always surprises me.”

Do you miss Yıldız?
«I played her for almost seven years, I feel like I gave everything to that character. I think people perceived that I loved Yıldız and that’s why she remained so dear to the public.”

Would you ever play her again?
«We could have continued, but I think it was right to stop when the story ended. But yes, theoretically, it would have been possible to move forward.”
