Today we have sad news from France.
Luis De La Rosa, acclaimed animator, whose credits include Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-VerseHe died on Friday after being struck by a train while attending the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
He was only 34 years old.


According to local newspaper le dauphine libre (via tmz), Emergency crews responded after a man was hit by a locomotive near the railway station in Annecy, a city close to the French-Swiss border.
Despite all efforts the victim could not be saved.
Authorities did not initially publicly identify the victim. However, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival later confirmed that the person killed was de la Rosa.
Initial reports indicated that de la Rosa died while walking too close to the tracks, but these details have not yet been confirmed by police.
