West wilson is speaking out a week after news broke that he will not be returning to season 11 of Summer house.
The reality TV star appeared on the Broadcasting boys podcast on Wednesday, confirming the news that he was fired.
“I wanted to tell it myself, but that (exit rumor) is true,” he said. “In (Bravo’s) defense, I don’t think it would have been a fun summer.”
Although Wilson’s contract was not renewed for the upcoming season of the Bravo show, sources said TMZ that the sports journalist could one day make a cameo on the Hamptons reality show.

In the interview, he also shared details about how his and Amanda Batula’s controversial announcement in March confirming their highly publicized romance led to them being intimate for the first time.
“We were looking forward to the declaration, but we had been looking forward to making out and having sleepovers for a long time,” he said during the interview, which was an Instagram overview of the Summer house scandal. “I still did the wrong thing, but I thought… I’m not committing a crime.”
He also addressed speculation that he and Batula released their public statement in March due to the existence of a reported video of them ‘canoodling’.
“I have not seen (the video), but I have heard from credible sources that it does exist,” he told hosts Lucas Brody and Nelson Vergara. “It is very illegal, I would like to point out.”
“From what I’m told, it was Amanda and I in my apartment messing around with one of my neighbors across the street. That kind of sent everything into panic and rush mode.”
“I guess I’ve always thought there’s an unspoken rule in New York that we can all see each other through our windows and balconies, and we can’t film each other,” he later argued.
Wilson’s final comments come as Summer house is gearing up for season 11 movies over the 4th of July weekend. A cast announcement has yet to be made, aside from the news that Wilson will not be returning. The cast is likely still reeling from the fallout from the scandal and is just weeks away from filming the season 10 reunion, in which Wilson and Batula take little responsibility for their actions.
However, fans still don’t buy the idea that Wilson and Batula are endgame. In one Polymarkt scenario betting on whether the couple will break up before the year is out, they have a 44% chance of doing this. The chances of a relationship breakup were highest a few weeks ago on June 10 (56%) and lowest on May 31 (33%).

Since filming Summer house Season 10, the reunion and even the bonus episode in the spring, Batula and Wilson have been spotted together both in New York and traveling through Italy, and all signs point to them still being together.
