“Sullivan’s Crossing” star Morgan Kohan reveals if she wants Liam back

WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT SULLIVAN’S CROSSING SEASON 4 FINALE!Sullivan’s Crossing season 4 had a happy ending when Cal proposed to Maggie after they almost broke up for good over Liam, and now the CW drama’s star Morgan Kohan is revealing if she wants to see Liam return to the show for season 5. Sullivan’s Crossing season 3 ended on a cliffhanger with Liam Davies (Marcus Rosner) showing up and shocking everyone by calling Maggie Sullivan (Kohan) his wife.

IN Sullivan’s Crossing season 4Maggie and Liam’s love story was revealed. They had married after a whirlwind romance in Europe, but Liam, a war correspondent, was called away on an assignment and never returned. Maggie assumed he had left her and she had the marriage annulled. But when Liam came back, they found out the annulment never went through. In addition, Liam eventually revealed to Maggie that he had not abandoned her, but had actually been held hostage for three years, making it impossible for him to return to her.

Although Maggie was in a relationship with Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray), she found herself attracted to Liam and they eventually kissed. When Cal found out, he broke up with her. Liam and Maggie eventually signed divorce papers and went their separate ways, and Cal finally forgave Maggie and proposed to her. Although they were interrupted by Tracy (Emerson MacNeil) arriving at Cal’s door before Maggie could actually say yes, it seemed inevitable. Now Kohan reveals whether she would like to see Liam return to Sullivan’s Crossing season 5.

In an interview with Swoonwhen asked if viewers wanted to see Liam again Sullivan’s CrossingKohan replied that she didn’t know, but she would be happy for Rosner to continue appearing on the show. She stated, “I’m just an actor. I don’t know anything. Nobody’s telling me anything. I’d love for Marcus to be back on set one way or another, but I have no idea.”

When asked if she thought there might be more stories to tell with Liam on Sullivan’s CrossingKohan replied that she believed he could return, but his story should not include Maggie.

Kohan explained, “I think there’s a world where it works in some capacity, but certainly not with Maggie. There would have to be a whole reconciliation with Cal and him and the whole deal there, but I definitely think there’s a world where he could come back. It’s just if the audience and the network want all of that to happen.”

Based on the reception of Liam by Sullivan’s Crossing fans, it might be best to leave the character in the past. Although many viewers like Rosner, they didn’t like that Liam created another obstacle for Maggie and Cal, especially since they had finally become a real couple at the end of season 3. Now that Cal has proposed to Maggie and she seems ready to say yes, there is no reason for Liam to be in the background of their relationship.

However, Liam is an intriguing character, with a rich backstory that can still be told. Cal is an open-minded and forgiving person, so it’s easy to imagine him even becoming friends with Liam if Liam permanently stopped pursuing Maggie. Then again, there’s probably no room for one of Maggie’s exes at the intersection, so it’s most likely best if he doesn’t come back, though Rosner will be missed. Liam served his purpose in Sullivan’s Crossingwhich should help Maggie realize how much she really loves Cal. Liam is Maggie’s past and Cal is her future.
