Charlene and Albert of Monaco
In Viareggio, off to The Crossing, the aquatic bicycle crossing organized by the Foundation of Princess Charlène of Monaco. Present at the start, Albert II And Charlene; the arrival is expected on Larvotto beach, in Montecarlo. A challenge that is very close to the couple’s heart: for the first time their Foundations are working together.
The Crossing, a special edition
Charlène of Monaco’s three-day trip to Viareggio, it started with Water Safety Daythat is, the conclusion of the part of The Crossing. She and Albert II, in sportswear and with the logos of their Foundations in plain sight, started a new edition of the water-bike crossing, which has the Principality of Monaco as its final destination. This year is a special edition, with aunt first times. By the way: it’s always a good idea to work together in Italy. It is a beautiful experience to visit the Pelagos Sanctuary and dare to be seen at all times. These are the protection zone of Italy, France and Monaco, the cost of origin of southern Tuscany, including the Ligurian Sea, Corsica and the cost of settlement of Sardinia. The habitat of the sanctuary and the protection of marine mammals and biodiversity. An objective that the Monegasque sovereigns have made their own, working together on The Crossing.

Alberto and Charlène, an objective community
Last May, during the Monaco Blue Initiative, a conference on the protection of the sea was also held, the Foundations of the Two Princes they signed a historic agreement. This is the unity of sport and the visibility of the biodiversity of the sea. This is why Alberto and Charlène were together in Viareggio: The Crossing is the first project created with the story firm. The team participates in the sport of athletics four, rides on a water bike and arrives in Monaco. I follow Gareth Wittstock, the team behind the principles, the cycling team with Chris Froome, the diverse Tour de France, and Filippo Pozzato, the Ferrari and Endurance driver Alessandro Pier Guidi. For all of them, a competition, but also a challenge with themselves as athletes, in the immensity of the sea. And with a precise mission: to remember how important it is to protect marine biodiversity.
