Reality TV star’s 4-year-old son airlifted to hospital after ‘bizarre’ bouncy castle accident

“The Only Way Is Essex” star Jess Wright’s son was rushed to hospital after a “bizarre” bouncy castle accident that left him “struggling to breathe.”

The reality star shared the “really scary” experience on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, which left her 4-year-old son, Presley, “clinging” to her.

He wrote, “Presley was catapulted from the top of the castle high into the air and fell face down onto the hardwood floor from a height of about 3 metres. A noise which silenced the entire party and which I’m sure haunts me.”

Wright, 40, revealed that her young son “struggled to breathe” and then “passed away”.

She added, “To say he was in fine condition would be an understatement, even for mom and dad.” “We were under blue lights in the trauma unit in London and on the journey there were discussions going on about broken ribs, spinal cord injuries and worse.”

But Presley was “miraculously” released from the hospital a few hours later, “with no injuries other than a few bruises.”

Wright admitted that the entire incident has left her and her husband William Lee-Kemp “traumatised”.

When Presley was two years old, he was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease, bicuspid aortic valve. Because of this, Wright explained that she and Lee-Camp were even more concerned about their son’s health.

“Like most people I’m sure, Will and I are very nervous for Presley’s safety, (especially) because of his heart condition, so we were beside ourselves when this happened to him. It was a freak accident that couldn’t have been avoided, but I will say I will be more careful in the future if the bouncy castle is on a wooden floor as opposed to a mat or something I think might be grass.”

The singer thanked the families who helped him at the birthday party, as well as the ambulance team and doctors at the Royal London Hospital.

In another post, Wright shared a heartbreaking photo of Presley in a stretcher and wrote, “The scariest day of my life. I thanked God every day that he’s okay because it was really horrifying to see him in the condition he was in here and right before that.”

In a more positive update, he posted a photo of Presley playing in a hospital bed and said he was recovering.

Wright rose to fame when she starred in “TOWIE” from 2010 to 2016. After appearing in 16 series of the ITV show, he announced his departure.

She and Lee-Camp began dating in 2019 after meeting through her brother Mark. They tied the knot in 2021 in a lavish ceremony in Majorca, Spain.

The following year, they welcomed their son.
